We know. We know. You call this festival “Tucson Eat Yourself.” Indeed, the food is often what gets you here. But it’s not just about what you put in your mouth. The recipes, dishes, and flavors shared by TMY vendors are expressions of culture, sometimes tracing back generations.

More than just a feeding frenzy, TMY also builds cultural and economic equity by investing in the artists who share their work. Food vendors pay a fee to operate a booth, but they keep all their earnings, which in recent years has equaled $350,000. Many cultural groups and clubs use these funds to operate or to support dance troupes, touring, education, and service.
